Choosing a diamond

Diamond, one of the rarest materials in nature, is a mineral and the hardest natural and transparent crystalline substance that can be found

It is also the only precious stone composed of only one element, “carbon” in its purest form.
Each diamond is the result of an extraordinary journey, which transforms this element into the most appreciated and sought-after gem in the world.

It is formed hundreds of kilometers below the earth's surface. Extreme pressures and temperatures transform the carbon fragments into diamonds that, following an incredible journey inside a volcano, finally reach the surface and then disperse and are found hundreds of kilometers away in river beds or on beaches.

Your diamond is unique and special… no two diamonds are the same, although each diamond has common characteristics, determined by four factors defined as “the 4Cs of diamond” Carat weight (carats), Cut (cut), Clarity (purity), Color (color).

All you need to know:
The “4Cs”

Weight

is expressed in carats; the carat corresponds to a fifth of a gram and in turn is divided into 4 grains or 100 points

Clarity

refers to the presence of imperfections, on the scale it goes from IF – Internally Flawless (the maximum level of purity) to PIQUÈ (when the imperfections are visible to the naked eye).

Color

refers to the shades of tone that a stone has; it goes from colorless to yellow, with decreasing symbol letters:
D – E – F – G – H – I up to Z.

Cut

refers to the shape and arrangement of the facets and angles: the classic cut is the round brilliant cut diamond that reflects light better than any other shape.
